Published
annually in the late spring, The Newport
Harbor Guide serves the maritime community of Newport, Rhode
Island, and is published for the benefit of the Seamen's Church Institute.
Over the past 14 years, the guide has grown from a small one color
pamphlet to a 56 page, full-color magazine with International circulation
of 20,000.
From the Editor:
In
appreciation of his longstanding support and commitment to
the Seamen's Church Institute, the publishers wish to dedicate
this issue of The
Newport Harbor Guide to Henry H. "Harry" Anderson,
Jr.
Anderson has spent 70 years racing,
organizing and volunteering in the sailing community. He sailed at
his alma mater, Yale University, served in the U.S. Army in World
War II, and tried out for the 1960 Olympics in the Finn class. He
has raced his own boats to numerous awards and was involved with
America's Cup races from 1958 until just recently, serving as head
of the Race Committee.

United States Yacht Racing Union, the predecessor to US Sailing.
